Job Summary:
A Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Expert is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing monitoring and evaluation processes within various sectors and contexts. They play a crucial role in assessing the impact and effectiveness of programs, projects, and policies, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making and positive social change.
• Designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and tools to assess program performance and impact.
• Collecting and analyzing data using quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Developing performance indicators and evaluation frameworks to measure program outcomes and effectiveness.
• Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
• Providing recommendations and insights based on evaluation findings to inform program planning and decision-making.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data collection and reporting processes are efficient and accurate.
• Promoting accountability, learning, and evidence-based decision-making across organizations and initiatives.
Qualification:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, public policy, international development, or statistics.
Work Experience:
• 7 years of related experience in monitoring and evaluation
Competencies/ Personal attributes:
• Monitoring and evaluation, preferably in complex, multi-year international development programs.
• Expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, performance indicators, and evaluation methodologies.
• Proficiency in using monitoring and evaluation tools and software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate evaluation findings and recommendations.
