Job Summary:

Senior DevOps Engineer is to play a pivotal role in the continuous delivery and lifecycle management of software applications. Senior DevOps Engineers combine their expertise in software development and IT operations to ensure the smooth operation, resilience, and security of an organization’s digital infrastructure. They are responsible for automating processes, optimizing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and manage software applications.

• Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and other IT professionals to deploy, automate, and manage software infrastructure.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and manage configuration management tools and practices.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment and infrastructure.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps practices.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement DevOps best practices and processes.

Qualification:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• A round 5 to 10 years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer.

Competencies/ Personal attributes:

• Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
