Job Summary:
A Senior Systems Engineer is a key role within an organization’s IT department. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer systems and networks. Their expertise ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization’s technology infrastructure.
• Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system, including updating agent scripts, responding to alerts, monitoring the dashboard, and conducting periodic system reviews.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to engineer projects, identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for existing clients.
• Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Communicate with customers as required, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
• Provide coaching and support to other engineers, assisting them in resolving issues.
• Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications.
• Design new system architecture, monitor and maintain computer networks, troubleshoot and resolve system errors and inefficiencies.
• Train and mentor junior systems engineers and technicians.
• Oversee the daily operations of the facility and lead a team of engineers in designing new systems to replace old ones.
• Define and manage system requirements, architecture, and design of projects, coordinating system integration.
Qualification:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or information technology.
Work Experience:
• At least 10 + years of relevant experience, demonstrating a breadth of knowledge in systems engineering.
