Job Title: Infrastructure & Hardware Architect

Role Summary 

Infrastructure Architects design and implement information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure of an organization. They ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements. Infrastructure Architects generally lead and direct a team and report directly to top management. The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance / support of Provide technical expertise and architectural solutions in infrastructure, hardware, hosting service and network areas. 

Key Responsibilities 

 The role is highly strategic, focusing on building a cloud practice from the ground up while ensuring security, compliance, and business alignment. 

  1. Cloud Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
  • Strategy & Governance: Lead the creation and evolution of the organization’s Infrastructure and Cloud strategy. Establish governing principles to guide technical decision-making.
  • Practice Leadership:Establish and lead a Cloud Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice and team. Define the team models, processes, and methodologies for delivering cloud services. 
  • Service Evaluation:Identify and recommend the best cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BPaaS) based on a thorough assessment of organizational capabilities and needs. 
  1. Technical Development & Migration
  • Cloud Development: Hands-on development of cloud-based solutions using Java, JavaScript, XML, and custom cloud languages.
  • Migration & Feasibility: Analyze application portfolios toidentify dependencies and assess the feasibility of migrating legacy systems to the cloud. 
  • Network & Connectivity: Design the layout of the network infrastructure (transmission equipment, protocols, and software) to ensure uninterrupted connectivity between all components.
  1. Security, Risk & Compliance
  • Framework Implementation: Ensure a secure IT environment by incorporating relevant frameworks and standards toidentify, mitigate, and monitor IT-related risks. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all technologycomplies with domestic and international laws and regulations. 
  • Risk Analysis: Partner with other teams to analyze the cyber and operational risks associated with cloud adoption and existing system performance.
  1. Leadership & Business Advisory
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a key consultant for cloud initiatives,providing objective insights and building partnerships across the organization to ensure IT aligns with business goals. 
  • DevOps Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to DevOps delivery teams, fostering a business-focused and agile mindset.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Promote the value of the Enterprise Architecture process to IT and business leaders,identifying business outcomes and “unlocking” enterprise challenges. 
  1. Strategic Leadership &Roadmapping 
  • Technology Strategy: Spearhead the overall technology strategy foreTech, focusing on infrastructure simplification, cost management, and system flexibility. 
  • Long-Term Planning: Build andmaintain comprehensive strategic roadmaps for all IT infrastructure, including cloud solutions, data centers, automation, and disaster recovery. 
  • Innovation Scouting: Lead the “innovation pipeline” by conducting experiments and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to ensureeTech adopts forward-looking technologies. 
  1. Architecture Governance & Oversight
  • Governance Framework: Define and implement consistent architecture and technology governance practices across the entire planning and delivery lifecycle.
  • Alignment & Compliance: Ensure all IT projects align with agreed-upon Strategic Roadmaps, Target Architectures, and corporate standards.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the enterprise architecture portfolio, including systems, services, middleware, and information flows.
  1. Technical Expertise & Solution Design
  • High-Level Design: Formulate complex, high-level solutions and prepare the necessary architectural diagrams and technical notes.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a recognized expert incutting-edge fields such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, high-volume transaction processing, and Master Data Management. 
  • Development Support:Provide high-level technical guidance to IT teams during the development phase to resolve complex architectural issues. 
  1. Business Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Business, Product Management, Finance, and IT Managers to translate business requirements into functional technical capabilities.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and external partners to deliver robust, scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Mission Integration: Ensure every architectural design is in full alignment with the company’s business mission and strategic goals.
  1. Mentorship & Community Building
  • Talent Development: Cultivate the internal architecture community ateTech by mentoring junior architects and helping them develop their technical and leadership skills. 
  • Collaborative Culture: Work across architecture domains (security, applications, information, and infrastructure) to ensure a unified technical vision.

Academic Qualification 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree BSc, from a recognized university in a technical field Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, and/or Network Administration  

Experience 

  • The role requires 4 years of total experience should be in experience with Operating System technologies in Microsoft Windows Server, experience with Account and rights assignment, Extensive knowledge and experience managing server networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, Job Description and Specification Document DNS, firewalls, etc.), Extensive knowledge and experience handling production issues, experience managing systems and applications in a virtualized environment, experience with Microsoft SharePoint Administration and experience creating scripts in a professional environment – a plus
