Job Title: Scrum Master

Role Summary:
The primary purpose of the Scrum Master is to facilitate and coach the development team using Agile and Scrum principles to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency. Acting as a Servant Leader and team coach, the Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments to the team’s progress, ensuring that all Scrum events are executed effectively, and fostering a strong, collaborative relationship between the Product Owner and the development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Facilitation & Support
Facilitate and guide daily Scrum events, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Empower the team to become self-organizing, autonomous, and effective in their collective decision-making.
Foster a healthy, transparent, and high-trust work environment among all team members. - Impediment Removal
Identify, track, and eliminate any internal or external obstacles (impediments) that slow down the team’s velocity or disrupt workflow.
Protect the team from external distractions, scope creep, and unmanaged interruptions to ensure focus on the current Sprint goals. - Product Owner Collaboration
Assist the Product Owner in defining, maintaining, and effectively grooming the Product Backlog.
Provide technical and process support to ensure long-term product planning is executed using Agile methodologies. - Agile Coaching & Organizational Transformation
Coach and mentor the organization and respective departments on understanding and adopting Agile values and Scrum practices.
Analyze team performance metrics (such as Burndown Charts and Velocity) to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
Academic Qualification:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree BSc, from a recognized university in a technical field Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Experience:
- 1 years of relevant experience on similar /related position
